Before You Install — Please Check Your Order Includes:
- PreFilters instruction sheet, QR code flyer + a RecovAdapt special offer flyer
- Compression fitting (for K8 connection)
- Black handle tool (for opening the stainless steel above sink filter housings)
Important:
– Stainless steel above-sink systems: use the black housing removal tool.
– Older plastic systems: use the white spanner ring tool. Please note, this tool is no longer supplied, as it is not compatible with our current stainless steel systems.
4. Please ensure all items are present before installation. If anything is missing, contact us (info@prefilters.com.au) prior to installing so we can assist promptly.
Step 1: Connect the Above-Sink Filter Housing to Your Tap
Attach the inlet of the twin above-sink filter housing directly to your kitchen tap.
Once connected, the filtered water outlet (filter tap) will then connect to your Kangen machine.
Step 2: Need Extra Tap Fittings?
If your tap requires additional fittings or adaptors, check the video linked below for guidance on what you may need and how to install it properly.
Step 3: Replacing the Filters
For older plastic systems, insert Filter #1 into the clear housing and Filter #2 into the white housing, which is the one positioned closest to the tap. Ensure both housings are securely tightened after replacing the filters. Remember: when replacing filters to always disconnect your ioniser from your PreFilters and flush your system for 5–10 minutes before reconnecting it.

Step 4: Setup Overview & Installation Options
Review the full system setup to ensure all components are correctly connected.
Please make sure you have tightened the connections on the system as they may come loose during transit. Insert the black handled tool into the round slots on the ring and turn the ring counter clockwise (not the tool). Have someone hold the housing as you do this.
This step includes a visual overview of the installation and highlights the different setup options depending on your tap type or filter configuration.
