Step 1: Assuming the old tap has been removed, begin by installing the new tap into the sink.

Step 2: Installing the Water Lines into the Tap

You can pre-install the water lines before securing the tap into the sink for easier access.

You can choose which direction controls the hot and cold water!

The large handle on the right side of the tap controls the unfiltered water that comes through the dual-spout head, while the smaller handle on the left controls the filtered water coming through the smaller filter outlet.

To determine the hot and cold orientation for the main handle:

  1. Move the large handle from the centre position to either the left or right. This opens one of the two water pathways connected to the metal pipes underneath the tap.
  2. Once you’ve decided how you want the tap positioned during installation, turn the handle in the direction you want to test (for example, away from you if you want that direction to be hot).
  3. Blow gently into one of the two silver fittings underneath the tap. One fitting will allow air to pass through while the other will not.
  4. The fitting that allows air through corresponds to the water line activated by the direction you moved the handle.
  5. Move the handle to the opposite direction and test again. You’ll notice the airflow switches to the other fitting.

This lets you identify which inlet will be connected to hot water and which will be connected to cold water, so you can set the tap up in your preferred orientation!

Important: Avoid twisting the hose body itself. Instead, use multi-grip pliers to firmly tighten the metal collar at the top of the line to ensure a secure connection.

Step 3: Connect the lines to the water main.

Step 4: Connecting the Pressure Reduction Valve (PRV) and Tap Lines

Attach the PRV to the cold mains water line using the diverter valve.

Then connect the tap lines to the PRV and mains lines, ensuring all fittings are tight and secure to prevent leaks.
