The first housing features a powerful combination of KDF55 or KDF85, catalytic carbon, and mineral-enhancing, pH-correcting materials. This multi-stage filter removes or neutralizes harmful substances like fluoride, chlorine, chloramine, THMs, pesticides, herbicides, VOCs, pharmaceutical chemicals, and heavy metals, ensuring every glass is clean and safe. It also retains essential minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, and trace elements, enhancing both taste and health benefits.

• Disinfectants like chlorine, chloramine, and aluminum sulfate are commonly added to town water to kill bacteria and parasites. Our Bench Top Water Filter adds extra protection with KDF and silver-infused carbon, which inhibit microbial growth. For additional safety, consider our optional ultrafiltration cartridge (0.01 to 1 µm) to remove even the smallest pathogens. Additional Notes:

Contaminants removal data is based on manufacture specs, testing or information gathered. 

If you have hard water its advised to get the filter kit which adds Zeolite and taste mineral correction along with a water softener. One will need to be added via the Add-Ons page.

• KDF/Catalytic carbon/Mineral filter is designed to last up to 6000L
• Fluoride filter is designed to last up to 6000L
• Ultrafiltration depending on source water will require rinsing after a certain time frame
• Inline ultrafiltration need to be replaced after 6 months or sooner depending on source water
• Tank and Bore water should ideally have an additional 5 micron filter to capture sediment between the tank and the house otherwise the ceramic or ultrafilter will be so full or sediment it will slow the flow right down
  
• The KDF/Catalytic carbon/Mineral filter and fluoride filter must have a sediment filter before them if your source water is known to contain lots of sediment otherwise they will get clogged up and have reduced flow and function
• If your water is hard, above 80ppm the water softener device is highly recommended
