Warranty Policy

Effective Date: December, 2024

At PreFilters, we are committed to providing high-quality filtration products that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. We offer a limited warranty on our products to ensure your complete satisfaction and peace of mind.

This Warranty Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which we provide warranty coverage on our products. By purchasing and using our products, you agree to comply with the terms of this policy.

1. Warranty Coverage

1.1. Warranty Period

Our filtration products are covered by a 1 year limited warranty, starting from the date of purchase. The warranty period is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product.

1.2. What Is Covered

This warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. If a defect arises during the warranty period, PreFilters will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product, or provide a full or partial refund of the purchase price.

The warranty applies to:

Manufacturing defects: Issues arising from faulty parts or workmanship during the production of the product.

Defects in material: Problems caused by poor-quality or defective materials used in manufacturing.

1.3. Warranty Limitations

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by misuse: Products that have been damaged due to improper installation, use, or maintenance are not covered under this warranty.

Normal wear and tear: Filters, parts, or accessories that have simply worn out due to normal use are not covered under this warranty.

Accidental damage: Damages resulting from accidents, such as dropping the unit/s.

Unauthorized repairs or modifications: Any damage or malfunction caused by attempts to repair, alter, or modify the product by an unauthorized third party will void the warranty.

Improper storage or environmental conditions: Exposure to extreme temperatures, humidity, or other environmental factors that may cause damage.

Shipping or handling charges: Any costs associated with the return of the product for warranty claims (e.g., shipping fees) are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise specified.

2. How to Make a Warranty Claim

2.1. Eligibility

To qualify for a warranty claim, the following conditions must be met:

The product must be within the warranty period.

You must have proof of purchase (e.g., receipt or order number) that shows the date of purchase.

The product must be returned in its original condition and packaging (if possible) to facilitate inspection.

2.2. Warranty Claim Process

To initiate a warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Customer Support: Reach out to our customer service team via email at info@prefilters.com.au. Provide the following information:

Your name, contact details, and order number.

A description of the issue with the product.

Any supporting photos or videos that show the defect or problem (if applicable).

  1. Return Instructions: If your warranty claim is approved, we will provide you with instructions on how to return the product to us for inspection. You may be required to return the defective product before a replacement or refund is issued.
  2. Inspection: Once we receive the product, our team will inspect it to verify the defect and determine whether it qualifies for warranty coverage.
  3. Resolution: If your claim is approved, we will either repair or replace the product, or issue a refund, depending on the nature of the defect and our assessment. The resolution will be based on the product’s availability and the extent of the defect.

3. Refunds and Replacements

Replacement: If the product is found to be defective, we will replace it with a new or equivalent item. In the case of discontinued products, we may offer an alternative product of similar value and functionality.

Refund: If a product cannot be replaced or repaired, or if you prefer a refund, we will provide a full or partial refund based on the product’s condition and the amount paid. Refunds are issued via the original payment method.

4. Product Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity of your filtration product, we recommend following the proper maintenance and care instructions provided with your product. Failure to maintain the product according to our guidelines may void the warranty. Regular maintenance includes cleaning and replacing filters according to the recommended schedule.

5. Limitation of Liability

This warranty is your exclusive remedy, and PreFilters shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to lost profits or business interruptions, resulting from the use or inability to use the product, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
