• Carbon Ultimate Filter is designed to last up to 6000L. The Carbon Ultimate Filter must have a sediment filter before it if your source water is known to contain lots of sediment otherwise they will get clogged up and have reduced flow and function.
• Ultrafiltration depending on source water will require rinsing after a certain time frame such as 3 months.
• Inline Ultrafiltration needs to be replaced after 3 months or sooner depending on source water.
• Tank and Bore water should ideally have an additional 5 micron filter to capture sediment between the tank and the house otherwise the ultrafilter will be so full or sediment it will slow the flow right down.
• A 5-micron filter removes dirt, rust, sand, and other visible debris to help protect the ultrafilter, improve flow, and extend system life. We recommend you get one locally, online or from your plumber. They are cheap and only do the job of removing sediment. We prefer the 5 micron poly pleated filters that can be washed.
